An Unfamiliar Feeling

It’s strange not feeling dead inside. As a matter of fact, I’ve been feeling pretty good and have had some positive experiences. From getting my Masters done to writing new music very quickly and learning about new things, I can say that I am alive inside both physically and mentally. So here’s a short rundown of what has been happening with me.

1) Musical performances. I recently did Titanic The Musical and it was a good experience. There is something about being one of 5 musicians for the entire orchestra which might be daunting for some, but not for me. Also the cast and crew where super cool to get to know and hangout with. So long Titanic, you shall be missed and onto Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder.

2) Writing. Both music and this website which was dead for a while. There is something that struck me into writing more music. I was inspired, I knew who I was writing for and why I was doing it. This rarely happens.

3) Learning. I’ve been on a streak of watching urban and city design videos. Perhaps it’s because of where I’m at currently and not having a car (temporarily) being detrimental. I enjoy my car but oh boy when maintenance is required let’s say there is never an opportune time for such things. Anyways, this sparked the crazy spree of video watching that I’m currently on. Honestly, I’m not impressed with the design of where I’m at or really anywhere in North America. I want you to imagine being able to not have to drive literally everywhere. It can be done but I’m not going into that here.

4) Friendships. This goes without saying, but I care a lot for my friends. Especially my close ones. It is nice to have such things and you even get some unforseen long term benefits from them. Whether it be gigs, relationships, or even the drink and food, I am so glad I am now finally able to be me without fear of reprisal. So to all of those who may (or may not) read this, thank you.
