How did we get here?

I wonder how we got here.

Perhaps it was from fear.

What have we done to deserve such a thing?

Just look at the carnage humanity brings.

The message of “Us first” as the statement polarizes.

Look at the bloodthirst that has been prioritized.

Perhaps we are not meant to stay.

For maybe, just maybe, it is nearing the end of days.

But that is speculation.

For life is now a peculiar situation.

There is but one constant and some argue it’s the best.

It’s name is death, the eternal rest.
