A Horrible Nightmare

November 21, 2013

I am being led to the gallows. I was wrongly accused of committing a crime. No matter who I told, no one believed me. My mother is screaming like a schizophrenic. She yells my name and the guards hold her back. I do not fear death, but rather the hell I will go to. “Calm down mother, I was doomed to die anyways. No one will listen to me anyways” I tell her. The masses pray for my soul but to no avail. “Any last words?” the executioner says. His face is full of pain. He is only following orders under the king. I say this “ I will surely see many of you in Hell.” As the guard cuts the string the blade comes quicker than light. My mother screams even more hysterically. She has lost her last child . “Mother, I love you and I’m sorry for what I’ve done wrong.” A teardrop falls from the sky and then the rain pours just like my 8th birthday. Someone yells “ He didn’t do it!” but it’s too late. I’m dead and falling forever into hellfire. Some rejoice, others weep and yet there is a little boy standing next to my mother. It’s......me, but.... I don’t understand why. Next to him is everyone I’ve met. Many of my friends are burdened. My best friend is crying so much that her eyes are drying. There will be no requiem for me as I fade from the memory of many.

I’m dead and the little boy will soon be dead as well. But the boy will not die alone and exiled like I was. He’ll be loved by many. Don’t be sad mommy, death is only the beginning.

I then woke up from my nightmare only to find myself trying to escape another one.
