An Elegy for Common Sense

Oh boy. I can already hear the keyboard warriors.

I have questions.

How is it that something we call “common sense” seems less common with each passing day?

How can something be great if the system itself is broken?

Is there anyway out of our inevitable grave?

Such wonders of science and tech, yet we have only seen it destroy.

What kind of image do we portray with such a lack of knowledge?

Not just the lack of it, but the pride carried with it.

Perhaps, it is time for a change.

Might I suggest that fools not be considered for kings?

Or maybe, just maybe that god doesn’t fall asleep on the job.
