A moment of a pepega life

I have moved out of Louisiana for the last time. The decision was easy really. It was a matter of time. As I may have said, originally I had plans to move to California after saving enough money but then a deadly virus arrived in our borders and now that is off the tables. Not only have we not taken the necessary precautions, we now have a repeat of 2016. But I’m not here to talk about that. “Why Ohio?” I get asked this a lot. Well for one, my other option was Denton, Texas but being in the middle of nowhere without a car is not a fun time. And also there is the desire to be above the Mason-Dixon Line. On top of this, there isn’t much to do where I’m from. Of course if you like food and drink then you’ll have a great time. To add insult to injury, the mayor of my hometown sought to close down many parks and recreation centers that our money pays for. This included places that I was fencing and performing at. The only reason why the upper class go out to any concerts in Heymann is because of the symphony orchestra. But the nail in the coffin was when a sudden termination of many jobs in my mothers department. Thankfully she was lucky but that’s when I knew, I needed to leave. I do not have a good relationship with said parent. There’s too much to explain but a religious ideology split is at the center of it. Not to mention the countless other doublespeak. All in all, I’ve spent 4/5ths of my life in Louisiana. It’s time to move on.
